The 25-percent discount on toll rates will expire in approximately one month.
Transport Minister, Mike Henry, confirmed to our news centre today that the discount is only a temporary measure.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced the discount during yesterday’s official opening of the North South link of Highway 2000.
The current applicable rates are $915 for Class one vehicles, $1,838 for Class Two, and $2,775 for Class Three vehicles.
Drivers of motorbikes and other Class Four vehicles will pay 450-dollars.
Minister Henry says the government has bought itself some time as it continues to negotiate a final reduced rate.
