3 Honduran Nationals Arrested & Charged For Ganja Possession


The Police have arrested and charged three Hondurans, found with more than two million dollars worth of ganja off the coast of Westmoreland, last week.

They’ve been identified as 31-year-old Humberto Cirilo, 27-year-old Cristyfor Elliot, and 36-year-old Andes Hopkin.

The men were charged jointly for possession of ganja, dealing in ganja, taking steps preparatory to export ganja, conspiracy, and use of conveyance.

The men were arrested last Tuesday when a Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard team intercepted a vessel off the coast of Negril.

They were found with more than 650 pounds of compressed ganja.

It has an estimated street value of just under 3-million Jamaican dollars.

They are to appear before the Westmoreland Parish Court on Tuesday.
