3 Minors Spared in Late Night Gun Attack on Family of JLP Caretaker

Three minors were spared during a gun attack last night which resulted in three family members of a JLP caretaker being killed execution style in Waterford, St. Catherine.

The three family members of JLP Caretaker for the Waterford Division, Krisho Holmes were killed on Clandon road.

Dead are 74-year-old retiree, Pamela Russell, her daughter 48-year- old teacher, Sharmelia Russell Craig and her 21-year-old grandson Romario Craig.

The Police have since launched a high level probe.


Mr. Holmes says his family home was the scene of the gruesome attack last night.

His grandmother, aunt and cousin were killed.

The Police say they were pounced upon by armed men posing as robbers.

According to Police reports, it’s alleged one of the men was heard saying quote–‘we affi kill them’–end quote then loud explosions were heard.

The JLP Caretaker says all three family members were shot in the head.

Ms. Russell and her grandson died on the spot.

Her daughter Sharmelia was rushed to the Spanish Town hospital but died while undergoing treatment.

Mr. Holmes says the children who were asleep at the time of the attack were spared.

Mr. Holmes is appealing for peace.

The Police say a high level investigation has been launched by the Major Investigation Division, MID.

Over ten spent casings were collected from the scene.
