35-Y-O Police Man Charged with Raping Child

A Policeman has been charged with raping a child. The accused man is 35 year old district constable, Cleavon Heaven, who works in the St. James Police Division.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, ODPP, recommended the charge earlier this week. Heaven is accused of rape and grievous sexual assault.

The alleged victim is 13-years old. Allegations are that during the past few weeks, the district constable courted the girl via social media.

It’s further alleged that he met the girl in Montego Bay, then then took her to a location where he raped her.

A report was made to the Police after the child was given medical treatment.

The Policeman remains in custody this afternoon. He’s to face the Montego Bay Criminal Court next week.
