4.2 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Jamaica


The Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies says it recorded a minor earthquake this morning.

The quake measured a 4.2 on the Richter Scale.

According to the Earthquake Unit, the quake was felt about 6:45 this morning.

It says the quakes epicentre was located at the St. Ann – St. Catherine boarder, close to Guys Hill, St. Catherine.

The Earthquake Unit says the quake could be felt in Manchester, St. Catherine and St. Mary.

Many people have taken to social media to say they’ve also felt the earthquake in Kingston and St. Andrew.
