5 Canadian Women Held with Liquid Cocaine

Five Canadian women are now in Police custody following their arrest at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay yesterday.

The Police report that personnel from the Narcotics and Canine Division arrested the five women who had liquid cocaine in their possession while attempting to board a flight.

The Police say around 7:15 yesterday evening, the five women checked in to board a flight heading to Canada.

The luggage belonging to the women was searched and total of 14 bottles of liquid cocaine found.

The women are scheduled to be interviewed and thereafter charged for Possession of Cocaine, Dealing in Cocaine and Taking Steps Preparatory to the Export of Cocaine.

Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
