95% of Salary Files Affected by NCB Technical Issues Processed

National Commercial Bank, NCB, says over 95-percent of salary files that were affected by technical issues last week have been processed.

In a statement yesterday, the Bank advised that it was working to ensure payment is made to accounts held at other institutions by today. NCB says it did receive some additional files on Saturday and is also working to process those in the shortest possible time.

NCB CEO, Patrick Hylton says the incomplete files, duplicate submissions, and errors in the files had impacted the pace of processing, resulting in further delays for a smaller fraction of files. He says to address this, NCB continues to work to rectify the issues quickly, and they’re committed to having all salaries paid in the shortest time.

Mr. Hylton says he’s aware of the personal challenges the delays have created for customers. He says they deeply regret the pain this experience has caused.

Meanwhile, he advised that they’re taking steps internally to ensure that impacted customers are not penalized with late fees on their loans and credit cards. He says the Bank has acknowledged the potential impact on customers’ ability to make loan, credit card, and utility payments on time.

Customers who’ve been impacted in this manner are encouraged to contact NCB at salary@jncb.com.

NCB says its technical teams also continue to work on issues affecting several of their customers using some of the services on the online banking and mobile app platforms.
