Alleged St Andrew Prep gunman Charged

The man involved in a reported robbery which prompted a shooting incident at the St. Andrew Preparatory school last week has been charged.

22-year-old Kwame Smith has been charged with two counts of assault at Common Law.

Smith reported to the police last week Thursday, a day after the incident.

He reportedly forced his way into a woman’s car just after she had dropped her child off at school.

The woman reportedly crashed her vehicle into the back of a nearby car in an effort to get away.

A licensed firearm holder challenged the accused who subsequently escaped.

The accused is believed to be a former employee who was dismissed from a gas station recently by the woman.

The incident resulted in classes at the institution being canceled for the day.
