Petrojam says adequate supplies of asphaltic products have been restored to the market.
Petrojam General Manager, Winston Watson, says the shortage over the last few months should now be alleviated.
Mr. Watson says the shortage in recent months was triggered by a longer than expected routine maintenance which took two and a half months to complete.
This was coupled with difficulty sourcing the product on the international market.
Both the National Works Agency, NWA and the National Water Commission, NWC, have been forced to halt several road works due to the shortage of asphalt.
Mr. Watson says Petrojam is now capable of filling all these outstanding orders.
