Bartlett Eyes Long-term Reform for Tourism Sector

Tourism Minister, Ed Bartlett, says issues plaguing the workforce may have less relevance with the steps being taken by the Ministry to reshape the sector.

Mr Bartlett says the country must take a longer look at preparing a new workforce that will drive Jamaica’s growth.

He says despite several issues plaguing the country’s workforce, there’s hope for Jamaica.

He was addressing the first cohort of high school students who’re expected to graduate with associate degrees in Customer Service and Hospitality Service.

Mr Bartlett says the programme will help participants to become entrepreneurs.
