Bartlett Underscores Relationship between Tourism & Security

Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett, says his Ministry will continue to help in the fight against crime as he underscored the link between security and tourism.

Mr Bartlett says despite the challenges with crime and violence, Jamaica continues to be viewed as a safe place for visitors.

Mr Bartlett says under the government’s new crime plan, revenue from the tourism sector will help finance community development projects.

Edmund Bartlett was addressing the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s closing ceremony for 90 graduates of the Tourism Product Development Company District Constables training programme at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James.
