Blake Lauds Kenya-Jamaica Sports Exchange

President of the President of the Jamaica Athletic Administrative Association (JAAA), Dr. Warren Blake, says he welcomes the proposal of a government to government agreement with Kenya to exchange technical expertise in track and field.

Kenya has agreed to help Jamaica develop its middle and long distance programme, while Jamaica will assist the Kenyans with their sprint programme.

However, the boss of local track and field’s governing body says his association was never consulted on the initial agreement.

Blake says this will be the third time both countries would be entering into such an agreement.

He says it will take a lot of funding for the project to be successful.

Blake says their last agreement with the Eastern African country was in 2018.
