Residents of Bowden Hill in Stony Hill, St. Andrew are angry this afternoon over the planned closure of the Bowden Hill Primary and Infant School.
The school is among 18 that were listed for closure this year by the Ministry of Education.
But President of the Bowden Hill and Environs Benevolent Association, Desmond Gayle is urging the Ministry to give the school another chance.
Mr. Gayle says the school community is not in agreement with the Ministry’s decision to close the institution.
He says stakeholders are ready to ensure that the school meets those standards needed to remain open.
