A British woman is facing multiple charges after she was arrested in connection with the seizure of cocaine worth over $2-million.
The 34-year-old woman was destined for a flight to Birmingham, England on Wednesday at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James.
The Police say the woman was checking in for her flight when her luggage was checked.
The drug weighing 1.6-kilograms was found concealed in the lining of her suitcase.
The Police say arrangements are being made for to be interviewed in the presence of her attorneys.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit says she’s expected to be charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and taking steps preparatory to export cocaine.
