A member of the Economic Programme Oversight Committee, EPOC, Ralston Hyman, says the government must focus on boosting capital spending, when it meets to craft the budget for the 2015-2016 fiscal year.
Speaking with Nationwide News, Mr. Hyman says the government will have more room to increase capital expenditure for the next budget year, based on an expected increase in revenue collection.
Mr. Hyman says the government should also ensure the National Solid Waste Management Authority, NSWMA, has enough resources to fulfill its mandate.
And, Mr. Hyman also noted the need for continued focus on driving exports and securing cheaper energy.
