Mr. Burke says the PNP remains a formidable political organization, despite losing the General Elections last month.

Mr. Burke has been strongly criticized for his role in the PNP’s defeat, with many comrades calling for him to be sacked.

He’s also facing the possibility of a no confidence motion being moved against him, when PNP officials gather for the next meeting of the party’s powerful National Executive Council.

Mr. Burke declined to comment publicly on calls for his resignation.
