Bus Driver With 1028 Traffic Tickets Arrested


The Constabulary’s Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, P-STEB has arrested a bus driver who allegedly amassed 1028 tickets.

In total, P-STEB says it has arrested three public transport operators with a total of 1489 outstanding traffic tickets between them.

The bus operator is 44-year-old Rodger Bartley from Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

Also arrested is 39-year-old taxi operator Andrew Bailey from Tavern Crescent in St. Andrew.

It’s alleged Bailey amassed 2-hundred and 72 outstanding tickets.

Thirty-six-year-old taxi operator, Duwayne Barrett from Stony Hill in St. Andrew was also arrested.

The police allege he amassed 1-hundred and 89 outstanding tickets.

Warrants were issued for the arrest of all three public passenger vehicle operators.

They were apprehended during a P-STEB operation that started at 8 this morning.

They’ll appear in the Kingston and St. Andrew Traffic Court on Monday.
