Government Senator, Lambert Brown is denying that he voted in favour of the Campaign Financing Bill in the Upper House last Friday.
Senator Brown was among the most strident critics of the bill, calling it “a waste of parliament’s time”.
He denounced the draft legislation as impractical and in some instances unconstitutional.
Speaking on Nationwide This Morning, Opposition Senator Marlene Malahoo-Forte condemned Senator Brown for criticizing the Bill and then voting for it.
But Senator Brown is denying that he voted for the Bill.
Senator Brown declined to say how he would have voted, if a divide had been called for.
