A resident of Portmore in St Catherine is alleging her car was scrapped while in the custody of the police.
Dianne Walker says she was involved in a two-vehicle collision over a year ago and suffered several injuries.
Her vehicle was brought in to the Bridgeport Police station.
Recently, Ms Walker says she visited the station armed with the relevant documents to clear her vehicle.
That’s when the shocking discovery was made.
Ms Walker says she later found out that several parts were removed from the vehicle which was resting on stones.
This she says stood in stark contrast to the last time she saw the vehicle days before.
Ms Walker says she’s not satisfied with the explanation given by the police.
Ms Walker has since reported the matter to the Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM, and has also filed a report at the Bridgeport Police station. She says she has not moved the vehicle from the station.
Meanwhile, Nationwide News contacted the Bridgeport Police Station several times yesterday for a response.
The officers on duty said they knew nothing of the matter adding that the person in charge was not in office.
