FIFA development officer, Howard McIntosh, says having four Caribbean countries advance to the quarter-finals of the gold cup speaks well to the development of football in the region.

Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago are the CFU teams competing in the round of eight.

Cuba will play USA in the opening quarter-final tomorrow, before Jamaica and Haiti meet in an all Caribbean affair.

Jody Brown of Ocho Rios High, scored 4 goals in Jamaica’s 14-nil win over St. Lucia in today’s under-17 Women’s Caribbean Football Union World Cup qualifier, in Suriname.

The young Reggae Girlz will next be in action against Suriname on Sunday.
