Champagnie to Challenge Transfer of Gardener-Gibson Case

Attorney Peter Champagnie is today expected to challenge the Prosecution’s application to transfer the matter against his clients Paul Gardener and Jermaine Gibson to Kingston.

Gardener and Gibson are before the courts on charges of carnal abuse and indecent assault.

Gardener is former President of the Moravian Church while Gibson is the former Vice President.

The two were arrested and charged by investigators from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual offences and Child Abuse on January 23.

They were released on bail the same evening.

The matter is scheduled to be called up in the Manchester Parish Court.
