Chuck Highlight Big Improvement in Case Disposal Rate

Justice Minister, Delroy Chuck, says there’s been major improvement this year in the case disposal rate in some of the key courts across Jamaica.

Minister Chuck tabled a report in the House of Representatives this afternoon about the performance of the Courts.

Minister Chuck says the performance of a number of the country’s criminal courts puts them on par with international standards.

Minister Chuck also told parliament that a lot of work is left to be done to remove the backlog of cases which have existed for many years. But, he says the signs this year are encouraging.
