Chuck Rejects Corruption Tag on Holness Administration

261

Justice Minister Delroy Chuck, says criticisms that the government is corrupt, are unwarranted.

His comments come as the Holness administration, has been hit with  the resignation of two Cabinet Ministers, amid corruption allegations, at institutions under their Ministries.

Dr Andrew Wheatley resigned his post as Energy Minister, last year, at the height of corruption allegations and probes at Petrojam and other entities under his portfolio.

Ruel Reid was fired as Education Minister and Government Senator, in March this year following corruption allegations at the Caribbean Maritime University and a Police probe.

Minister Chuck blames those actions on what he calls ‘stupid and poor judgements’.

He says often Government Ministers are ignorant of what’s happening in their Ministries, when they should be informed.

He’s confident that none of his Cabinet colleagues can be directly linked to corrupt activities.
