Church Protests ‘Unfair Land Deal’

137

Members of the Harvest Tabernacle Church gathered outside the National Commercial Bank Atrium on Trafalgar Road in New Kingston this morning, to protest what they say is an unfair land deal.

The protestors say the deal could see them having to vacate the property on which the church is located at Ferry in St. Catherine.

The property is owned by the MP for East Central St. Catherine, Arnoldo Brown.

The Pastor of the Church, Boswell Raymond, is accusing NCB of secretly selling the land to the MP, despite the expressed interest of the church in buying it.

Pastor Raymond says the Church has been cheated.

When contacted by our news centre, the MP, Arnaldo Brown, would only say that the matter would be referred to his attorneys.
