Head of the Area 3 Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Clifford Chambers, says the police are carrying out operations in Clarendon in pursuit of criminals who’re migrating from their usual bases of operation.
ACP Chambers says the police have increased their presence in what they consider to be crime hot spots.
He says these operations are forcing criminals to move into other areas to carry out their crimes.
ACP Chambers says a number of people have been arrested in the operation that began on Monday. But he says no one who’s considered a ‘major player’ has been taken into custody.
