Cop and Two Others Shot During Routine Stop

A Policeman and two other persons were shot this afternoon.

The incident happened while the lawmen were on patrol on highway 2000 in the vicinity of Quarry Hill, St. Catherine.

Nationwide News spoke with Head of the Jamaica Constabulary’s Communications Unit, Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, who says gunmen fired shots from a vehicle the Police had signaled to stop.

Superintendent Lindsay says the driver transporting the men attempted to flee the scene.

Superintendent Lindsay says the Police have launched a search for the two gunmen who escaped.
