Cop Implicated in Car Parts Stealing Ring at Constant Spring Pound


A member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force has been implicated in the early morning stealing of car parts at the Constant Spring pound in St. Andrew.

The vehicles are stored on the grounds of the Constant Spring police station. Two other men have also been taken into custody.

The detective corporal is attached to the Constant Spring Police Criminal Investigation Branch, CIB. The other two men were caught in the pound.

Commanding Officer for the St. Andrew North Police, Superintendent Glenford Miller says the incident happened at about 2:00 yesterday morning.

While the men were being held, one of them reportedly got a call.

Superintendent Miller confirmed that the call was from the detective corporal now in custody. He did not disclose the conversation the detective corporal had with the man.

However, he says the conversation has implicated the policeman in the incident.

Superintendent Miller says the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency, MOCA is also investigating the incident.
