A rank and file member of the Jamaica Constable Force, JCF, has died after sustaining several injuries in a car crash early yesterday morning along the Spanish Town Bypass in St. Catherine.
He’s Constable Shadale Goldburne. The JCF family has been plunged into mourning at news of his passing.
Constable Goldburne was a member of the Force for just over a year. He was attached to the Kingston Central Division but was performing duties in the St. Catherine North Division at the time of his death.
Goldburne was killed about 2:30 yesterday morning when the Suzuki Swift car he was driving along the Spanish Town Bypass crashed at the intersection with St. John’s Road.
The vehicle reportedly crashed into a tree before landing in a ditch adjacent to the roadway.
The JCF Chaplaincy Unit and its welfare officer have made contact with the family and colleagues of Constable Goldburne and will be providing assistance as needed.
The Police High Command is also extending its deepest condolences to Constable Goldburne’s loved ones and the wider JCF family.
Police Commissioner, Major General Antony Anderson, is urging all members to avail themselves of the services available through the Constabulary’s Chaplaincy Unit and the Medical Services Branch, as needed.
