Corporate Area Legacy Road Projects Near Completion – NWA


The National Works Agency, NWA, says three of the Corporate Area’s major road projects are nearing completion.

Communications Manager, for the NWA, Stephen Shaw, says the Hagley Park road works in St. Andrew are to be completed by the end of August.

At least $US50 million is being spent to improve Hagley Park Road to ease traffic congestion in the Corporate Area.

Mr. Shaw also says the Mandela Highway improvement project is almost complete.

The Mandela Highway is being expanded and improved at a cost of nearly $US64 million.

Meanwhile, Mr. Shaw says two months remain before the completion of the Constant Spring Road improvement project.

Meanwhile, Mr. Shaw says the government remains under budget as it relates to its major road works.

Over $US350 million is expected to be spent in total to improve Corporate Area traffic congestion.

Mr. Shaw says the road works will be a game changer for the country and well worth the investment.
