The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) says extensive roadworks across the Corporate Area are costing it millions of dollars.

The state-owned bus company says it’s losing millions as several of its routes are being disturbed by the extensive road works being conducted in Kingston, St. Andrew and St Catherine.

Corporate Communications Manager at the JUTC, Cecil Thoms, says the fallout is significant.

Mr. Thoms says the JUTC is hopeful that the roadwork will be completed according to schedule.

Mr. Thoms says some customers have been expressing their discontent with the JUTC routes being disturbed.

He’s appealing to customers to comply with contingency measures which have been put in place.
