Telecommunications giant, Flow, says estimates of the damage to its infrastructure by the ongoing road work in sections of the Corporate Area are more than $81-million.
Director of Corporate Communications at Flow, Kayan Mitchell, says the company is frustrated with the National Works Agency, for having to repair damage to its infrastructure sustained today. This after FLOW finished repairing previous damage sustained only two days ago.
Mrs. Mitchell says Flow has been working to restore service to 21,000 customers. She says as of last weekend only four thousand customers were still without service.
Mrs. Mitchell says service will soon be returned to customers affected by the latest outage.
At the end of August, Vice President of Technology Operations at FLOW, Walter Brown, reported that the company’s infrastructure had sustained $42-million worth of damage due to roadworks.
