The Government says it will be acquiring equipment from Cuba to strengthen the agricultural sector.

Minister without Portfolio in the Agriculture Ministry J.C Hutchinson says Cuba has a vast array of agricultural equipment that can drive agriculture in Jamaica.

The Minister was delivering the keynote address at a demonstration of agricultural implements, manufactured in Cuba.

He said the crops will be made into juice, and then delivered to a breakfast programme for primary schools.

He added that the watering of crops can also be made easier with technology from the Cubans.
