Dr. Haughton Hits Back at ‘Hypocrites’ Criticizing His Motion to Allow Profanity in the Dancehall

Opposition Senator Dr Andre Haughton, says persons concerned about his moves to allow the use of profanity in the dancehall space, are hypocrites.

Senator Haughton has said he intends to move a motion seeking to allow bad words at dancehall events.

He has been facing backlash, including from some in the governing Jamaica Labour Party.

Dr. Haughton says some persons are only seeking to vilify him. He’s also taking a swipe at members of the media.

The Opposition Senator says some persons’ views on his stance are based on their negative biases.

He also says he’s operating independently of his party on this initiative, noting that the party is too occupied with its internal elections.
