Drug Policy Alliance Labels Health Ministry’s Stance on Ganja Smoking ‘Heavy-Handed’

‘Heavy handed and unnecessary’, is how the Head of the US-based Drug Policy Alliance, Ethan Nadlemann, has characterized the Health Ministry’s zero tolerance approach to the smoking of marijuana.

Health Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton, commented on the Ministry’s zero tolerance approach to the smoking of marijuana as he addressed his post sectoral presentation media conference last week.

He said the Ministry supports the development of the medical marijuana industry but smoking in any form should not be tolerated.

Mr. Nadlemann says this approach to ganja smoking is misguided.
