The Education Ministry and the Early Childhood Commission, ECC will be helping to place baby genius Soul-Heart in a suitable learning institution.
That’s the word from State Minister of Education, Alando Terrelonge.
In a statement today Minister Terrelonge, says he’s met with the child’s parents and offered help in finding a suitable school.
He says he was very impressed with Soul-Heart and will be ensuring the child gets the help he needs.
The Education Ministry will also be helping the family in getting a full assessment of the child.
It says this will allow them to develop a curriculum specifically for Soul-Heart and find a school to meet his special needs.
The three old boy rose to prominence after his parents identified his advanced learning skills caused by High Functioning Autism, HFA.
But despite his advanced abilities, his parents say they’re struggling to find suitable school for him.
Minister Terrelonge lauded Soul- Heart’s parents for their dedication to his learning.
He says no child should be exempted from an education despite their challenges or gifts.
Meanwhile, the State Minister says today’s meeting revealed that despite earlier media reports, there was no direct communication with any ministry official regarding the parents’ challenges.
He says the child’s father, Dwayne Stewart admitted that while he called the ministry two years ago, he never spoke with any senior personnel or educational specialist there.
