Edwin Allen and KC Lead the Pack

Action continues in the Boys and Girls Athletics Championships now under way at Jamaica’s National Stadium.

After four finals Edwin Allen leads the girls standings, while Kingston College lead the table in the boys section.

Edwin Allen leads with 31 points followed by Hydel 29, Excelsior 20, Vere Technical 16, with Holmwood in fifth place with 13.

Janigue Burgher put Edwin Allen in front when she won the class-3 girls high jump final with a leap of 1.70-metres.

On the boys side Kingston College is in first with 32 points, followed by St. Jago 21, Jamaica College 19, Calabar 10, with Excelsior 7 in fifth.

10-boys finals and 13-girls finals will be contested on day-4 of the championships.

The day is dubbed ‘Flying Friday’ with seven 100-metres finals on the schedule, Sports Analyst, Leighton Levy, patrons should ensure they are in the national stadium to be a part of history.
