England reached 240 for 7 at stumps on day one of the third and final test against West Indies at Kensington oval in Barbados.
Thanks in part to a century from Skipper Alistair Cook.
The England innings started shakily — they lost their first four wickets with just 91 runs on the board.
But cook and Moeen Ali then shared a 98-run fifth wicket partnership to steady the innings, before Ali went for 58.
Cook was then joined by Ben Stokes and the two put on 44-runs for the sixth wicket until the captain was caught by Denesh Ramdin off the bowling of Marlon Samuels for 105.
Shannon Gabriel and Jason Holder have so far taken two wickets each.
