Co-Chairman of the Economic Programme Oversight Committee, Keith Duncan says Jamaica needs to have a more diversified economy.
Mr. Duncan says Planning Institute’s recent downward revision of the growth target for this fiscal year underscores this need.
Mr. Duncan says the recent heavy rains which affected island is expected to further set back the agriculture sector and may affect the growth target.
He says the overarching growth plan has to be focused on expanding other sectors.
