The Factories Corporation of Jamaica, FCJ, has announced plans to establish an additional 1.5-million square feet of office space providing more than 30,000 new jobs.
That’s according to Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Dr. Horace Chang.
He says the Corporation is on a trajectory to dramatically increase the amount of commercial/industrial space available in the island.
He was speaking at the FCJ’s 30th-anniversary awards banquet held on Saturday at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston.
Minister Chang says the agency has been directed by the Ministry to invest in space for research and innovation.
