The long standing Director of Finance at the National Solid Waste Management Authority, NSWMA, Michael Walters, has resigned.
Mr. Walters will demit office on Friday.
Chairman of the NSWMA, Dennis Chung says he’s uncertain about what triggered Mr. Walters’ decision.
It’s understood that Mr. Walters and members of the board clashed over the NSWMA’s audited financial statements, which were about nine years in arrears.
Mr. Chung says the resignation has nothing to do with an ongoing probe being undertaken by the Office of the Contractor General.
