Fitz Bailey Promoted to DCP in Charge of Crime

Nationwide News understands that Fitz Bailey, has been promoted to the rank of acting-Deputy Police Commissioner in charge of crime.

He’s set to succeed Selvin Hay who was transferred to the professional standards branch of the JCF a few weeks ago.

The post of DCP in charge of crime is considered to be the second most influential position in the Constabulary.

Acting DCP Bailey was previously Assistant Commissioner in charge of the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations branch of the constabulary, C-TOC.

During his tenure as C-TOC boss, dozens of alleged thugs from the Uchence Gang, the Terrence Gang, the Dexter Street gang, along with the One Order and Klansman gangs, have been brought before the Court and accused of breaching the country’s anti-gang laws.

Our sources say Superintendent Anthony McLaughlin is now the acting head of C-TOC.
