Football Round-Up

Jamaica’s Under-17 football team take on Red Stripe premier league leaders UWI in a practice match at the JFF Technical Center, this afternoon at 4.

The match is part of the young Reggae Boyz preparation for the CONCACAF youth championships in Panama, later this month.

The Jamaicans are drawn in group “C” alongside Mexico, USA and El Salvador.

Their first match will be against the USA on April 23.

Reno entertain Portmore United in their rescheduled Red Stripe premier League at Frome Complex, today.

Neighbors Waterhouse and Marverley-Hughenden clash in the feature match of a double-header in the quarter-final of the JN Visa/KSAFA Jackie Bell Knockout football competition.

The match is set for the Constant Spring field, this evening at 8:30.

In the kick -off match at 6:30, Cavalier take on Central Kingston.

Meanwhile, Barbican and Tivoli Gardens advanced to the semi-finals following last night’s round of quarter-finals.

Barbican beat UWI 1-nil, while Tivoli beat Harbour View 9-8 on penalties after both teams played to a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation and extra time.
