Former Permanent Secretary Drags Education Ministry To Court


Former Permanent Secretary in the Education Ministry, Dean Roy Bernard, has confirmed that he’s challenging in court his transfer to the Finance Ministry.

It’s understood that Mr Bernard is upset with his transfer to the post of Director General of the Financial Investigation Division, FID.

Mr. Bernard spoke briefly with Nationwide News this afternoon.

But he refused to provide details.

It’s understood that the court challenge has had the effect of preventing the post of Permanent Secretary at the Education Ministry, from being filled.

Dr. Grace McLean has been acting as Permanent Secretary.
