Fraser-Pryce Smashes Pan Am Games Record


Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce lived up to her favorite billing by winning the women’s 200-metres final in a meeting record at the Pan American Games, in Lima Peru, today.

Fraser-Pryce won the event in 22.43-seconds.

She finished ahead of Silva Rosa Cristina of Brazil, and Tynia Gaither of the Bahamas.

Andre Ewers finished 8th in the men’s final.

Danniel Thomas-Todd threw a meet record of 19.55 metres to win the women’s shot put final.

Aisha Praught picked up the silver in the women’s 1500-metres final.
