Fundraiser Organized to Help with Matthews Medical Expenses

Friends of Jamaican athlete, Preston Matthews, at the St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada, have organized a fundraiser to help with his medical expenses.

Last month, friends discovered Matthews semi-responsive in his apartment and rushed him to the hospital.

Doctors have been unable to provide a diagnosis, though its suspected it may be a lupus related problem.

Matthews has been in the hospital ever since, but was discharged temporarily to attend the fundraiser, yesterday.

His friends have also launched a go-fund-me online campaign with a goal to raise 10-thousand us dollars.
