G2K President Won’t Run Again


The young professional arm of the JLP, Generation 2000-G2K- is to have a new President soon.

This as the term of office of the outgoing president, Senator Mathew Samuda has come to an end.

Nominations for positions including the posts of President, Vice President and General Secretary were opened on Tuesday.

Senator Samuda, who became President of Generation 2000 in 2015, says he’ll not be seeking re-election.

He says he is happy and proud of the legacy he’s leaving.

Matthew Samuda says going forward, his appointment to the Senate is a platform he will use to serve the people in a serious way.
