Former Police Commissioner, Owen Ellington, says the next step for the police will be to get some members of the Uchence gang who were recently arrested, to turn on others.
Mr. Ellington says prosecutors should now work on getting some members to plead guilty and become witnesses for the State.
However, he says this would mean the trials must be conducted swiftly.
Mr. Ellington says the bust, which has resulted in the arrest of 25 alleged gang members, is unique.
And, the former Police Commissioner says in order to continue to reap this kind of success, State agencies such as the police and prosecutors, will have to work together more.
