Justice Minister, Senator Mark Golding is rejecting criticism from PNP General Secretary, Paul Burke that the Simpson Miller-administration is taking too long to reform the island’s ganja laws.
Senator Golding responded strongly to Mr. Burke while speaking last evening on Nationwide@5.
The Justice Minister says Paul Burke’s claim is untrue.
Senator Golding says the criticism from Burke betrays a lack of understanding of a process where attention to detail is key.
Mr. Burke drew on the example of the establishment of the Gun Court to support his argument that ganja law reform does not require a lengthy process.
But the Justice Minister rejected that argument.
