Government Reviving Early Stimulation Programme

State Minister in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information Floyd Green says the Ministry will be re-activating an early stimulation programme to intervene in the lives of children with disabilities.

Minister Green was speaking in Parliament during the Sectoral Debates this week.

The Early Stimulation Programme provides an assessment and early intervention for children from birth to six years old.

He says the Ministry has also introduced a new assessment model for 4-year-old children.

Meanwhile, Minister Green says pit latrines should be eliminated in all schools by the end of 2017.
