Govt Commissions Statues for Track Greats


Sculptor Basil Watson has been commissioned to create statues in honour of four of Jamaica’s sporting greats.

Minister of Sports, Olivia “Babsy” Grange, says the works of art will be placed at the National Stadium Statue Park.

    It about time.. This should have been done from at least 2008, including a museum..and then incorporate the tourism sector. One can only imagine how much revenue that would have been generating today. We all saw the potential of these athletes…
